Call for Workshops (Geomorphometry2020)

The Geomorphometry Society and the Organizing Committee are pleased to announce the Call for Workshop of the sixth Geomorphometry Conference to be held in Perugia, Italy, June 22-26 2020
The event is hosted by the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection of the Italian National Research Council (CNR IRPI) and the Department of Physics and Geology of the University of Perugia.

The first day of the conference will be dedicated to workshops. Workshops are hands-on sessions on a specific theme and/or software. Proposals for workshops are therefore welcome. The organizing committee will waive either of half or the whole cost of conference registration, for 2 and 4 hours workshops, respectively. A fully-equipped computer lab, provided by the Department of Physics and Geology, will be available for workshops

The proponent shall describe carefully the workshop, detailing the lenght (2h or 4h) and technical requirements. A workshop shall provide an in-depth overview and possibly hands-on experience in a topic and related to conference. The workshop convener should be well prepared to demonstrate and explain tools and software, their functionalities, possibly how install software and more generally how to use it for research and applications.
More in detail the proposal should include:
- a description of the subject
- a description of the possible need for hardware and software to be installed in the computer labs
- possibility of using the attendees' laptops
- expected duration (2 or 4 hours)
- description of any already existing training material
- descriptions of the proposer's experience in teaching this and other subjects
- maximum number of participants allowed
- any other requirement
